Support

Something not working, or a question about the app? Email akfgbunprad@gmail.com and you'll get a reply from the person who made it. The answers below cover most of what comes up.

Signing in

The iPhone app uses Sign in with Apple and Google. There is no password to remember and nothing to fill in — tap one of the two buttons and you're in.

Signing in with Apple and with Google makes two separate accounts, even when both use the same email address. If your log looks empty, try the other button — your entries are most likely sitting in the other account.

The daily reminder

Settings → Daily reminder, then pick a time. The reminder is scheduled by your phone, so it appears whether or not you have a connection.

It doesn't know whether you've already answered, so it will nudge you on days you're already done. If iOS is blocking it, check Settings → Notifications → GACHI Japanese on your phone.

Deleting your account

Settings → Delete account. You'll be asked to confirm twice, and then your account and every entry in it are deleted. This cannot be undone — there is no way for us to bring a deleted log back.

If you can't get into the app to do it, email akfgbunprad@gmail.com from the address on your account and it will be done by hand.

If you signed in with Apple, deleting your account here removes everything from our side, but iOS keeps its own record of the app. To clear that too: Settings → your name → Sign in with Apple → GACHI Japanese → Stop using Apple ID.

Something looks wrong in a question or a correction

The questions and the feedback are written by a language model, and it does get things wrong. If a correction looks off, send it over — the exact sentence and what you expected instead. That's the most useful kind of report, and it's how the wording has been fixed so far.

Cost

The app is free. There is nothing to buy inside it, and no subscription.

Privacy

What the app stores, who else handles it, and how to get rid of it: Privacy Policy.
